Long-distance Care

Many families live far from the place they grew up in, which becomes a stress-filled challenge when senior loved ones need care. PFHC understands and has a unique care plan for that reason.

Our caregivers will provide the best care, with compassion and understanding. Long-distance family members can be reassured that their loved ones are being taken care of, as if they were there.

Above personal care are their activities of daily living (ADLs). We do our best to keep seniors from social isolation. We focus on limiting loneliness and depression that can later pose serious health issues.

We've come up with plans to keep family members involved, including:

  • Video conferencing (Telehealth)
  • Face-to-face calls (FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, etc.)
  • Assistance with technology (Setting up emails, Facebook, texting, apps)

Family can be on call for doctor's appointments to be given information and updates directly. Medical escorts play an essential role in providing families with peace of mind that their seniors arrive safely to their appointments.

As daily needs are met, PFHC will also make sure groceries are stocked, trash is taken out, and mail is delivered. Keep your loved one in the comfort of their own home, so they may age in place.

We will encourage social engagement through local community centers, lunch dates with friends, and more. Our caregivers come with many talents and interests, like crafting, gardening, puzzles, painting, coloring, and knitting. It gives your senior the sense of accomplishment and a visit well spent.
